Police report fraudulent check

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a fraud incident involving a check.

Troopers said an unknown person presented a fraudulent check at First Northern Bank and Trust Company in Gilbert and it was subsequently honored.

The bank and a 19-year-old man from Effort are the listed victims.

Troopers said the total loss was $3,690.27.
