Kristin Maurer and Joshua Britton
The engagement of Kristin Lynn Maurer to Joshua Aaron Britton, both of Conshocken, has been announced by her parents.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of John and Nina Maurer of Nesquehoning. She is a 1999 graduate of Panther Valley High School.
She graduated from Shippensburg University in 2003 with a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. She is currently employed as a medical editor at The National Board of Medical Examiners in Philadelphia.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Cindy Nearhoof Britton and the late Randall Britton of Osceola Mills, Pa.
He holds a bachelor of arts degree in history from York College of Pennsylvania, from which he graduated in 2003.
He earned a master of arts in history from Duquesne University in 2005, and is currently a PhD. candidate in American history at Lehigh University.
He expects to graduate in May 2013. He is currently a dissertation fellow at Lehigh University.
A wedding is planned for June 8, 2013.
