Revocations
Eric Robert Shappell, 27, Seltzer, had his parole revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and he was remanded to the county prison to serve the balance of his sentence and his 372 days of liberty were disallowed and added to his sentence. His maximum time was extended to Oct. 15, 2013. He is not allowed to apply for parole before Oct. 14, 2012, unless he is accepted as a inpatient in the drug and alcohol program.
Shappell had pleaded guilty to burglary of the Roma Pizza Shop in Pottsville and after serving time in prison was released on probation.
Tiffany Ann Botzer, 25, Pottsville, had her probation revoked by Judge Dolbin and she was re-sentenced on a charge of possession of a controlled substance to serve 60 days to 12 months in the county prison with credit for serving 40 days and must enroll and successfully complete inpatient drug and alcohol treatment.
Botzer had pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of drugs and after spending time in prison was placed on probation. She was accused by her probation officer of violating her probation by using bath salts.
Divorces granted
David Stephens, 176 Owl Creek Road, Tamaqua, was granted a divorce from Ramona Stephens, 400 Arlington St., Tamaqua. They were married May 21, 1988.
Kelly Nadine Hoptak, Schuylkill Haven, was granted a divorce from Michael John Hoptak, Orwigsburg. They were married Nov. 30, 2007.
Jennifer Kline, Schuylkill Haven, was granted a divorce from Dennis Kline. They were married June 22, 2008.
Nicole M. Stockunas, Island Heights, N.J., was granted a divorce from Scott W. Stockunas, Mahanoy Plane, Gilberton. They were married May 25, 2001.
Jennifer Lynn Murphy was granted a divorce from Jonathan Vincent Murphy, both of Pottsville. They were married June 5, 2010.
Michele L. Kmetz, now known as Michelle L. Reis, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from David A. Kmetz, Beaver Meadows. They were married Oct. 15, 2010.
Foreclosures
U.S. National Association, Columbus, Ohio, filed suit against Vicki J. Steigerwalt claiming she allegedly has defaulted on mortgage payments on the property at 113 Elizabeth St., Tamaqua, claiming the principal balance owed totals $31,621 plus interest and costs and seeks foreclosure.
Citifinancial North American filed suit against Rita I. Kufrovich claiming she allegedly has defaulted on mortgage payments on the property at 31 Hilltop Road, Barnesville, claiming the principal amount owed was $39,388 plus interest and costs.
Seeks damages
Timothy Heckman 108 W. Broad St., Tamaqua, started a civil action against Philopeter, LCC, also known as Philo Fuel, owners of the building at 704 Claremont Avenue, Tamaqua R.D., seeking damages for an alleged fall at the business establishment on March 26, 2011. The suit claims he was caused to fall on an icy pavements and suffered injuries.
