Rotary meets
West End Rotary will meet at 7:30 a.m., Thursday, July 12, at the Western Pocono Community Library. The speaker will be Rick Munson of Paramount Business Enterprise, Inc.
Peace Festival
Our Lady Queen of Peace festival is happening July 13-15. There will be a special Mass at 4 p.m. on July 14, but no 5 o'clock Mass.
Monroe Seniors
Monroe Seniors meeting at Zion Lutheran Church in Brodheadsville will meet at 9 a.m., Friday, July 13, and Wednesday, July 18. Lunch is planned to be Sloppy Joes with coleslaw and pulled pork.
Seniors are reminded to call the center a day or two ahead if planning to be there for lunch. Manager Doris Philips can be reached at (570) 992-6988.
Filling in
While the pastor at St. Peter's UMC is on an extended vacation, the Rev. Tom Higgins and Bud Gouger will fill the pulpit on Sundays. In addition, the Rev. Higgins will respond to emergencies, hospitalizations, etc. for the entire month.
PV board meets
The Pleasant Valley School District Board of Education will meet at 8 p.m., Thursday, July 19, in the district office in Brodheadsville.
Free drama
"Heaven's Gates & Hell's Flames" is a drama presentation and a look at the eternal impact of life's choices. Mount Eaton Church will be hosting performances on Sunday, July 22; Monday, July 23; and Tuesday, July 24 at 7 p.m. each night. Admission is free, and children's ministry will be provided. The church is located on Mt. Eaton Road in Saylorsburg.

Zion Seniors
The church's own senior group, open to folks 50 and over, will meet at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 19.
Participants are reminded to bring a sandwich. Beverages are provided.
