Three teams battling for first place

The Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) summer volleyball league rolled into the second half of its season, with three teams within a game of each other atop the standings.

Victorious Secret and Valley Athletic Supply have three losses, while Sandstorm sits a game off the pace with four losses.

TUESDAY

Sandstorm-#Swag

Sandstorm started the week off with a three-game sweep over #Swag, 25-17, 25-15, 25-11.

Mark Streisel had 17 service points with 10 aces, while Cody Sassaman added 11 service points for Sandstorm.

Mike DeAngelo had four service points to lead #Swag.

THF-Tomahawks

VBC Lehighton Tomahawks posted three victories against Team Have Fun, 25-16, 25-21, 25-21.

Jess McCaroll had nine service points and Tasha Rehrig tallied six points in the wins for the Tomahawks.

Trish O'Gurek had six service points to pace Team Have Fun.

Victorious-Hope's

Victorious Secret finished the day off with a three-game sweep over Hope's, 25-17, 25-16, 25-10.

Chris Fallabel had 14 service points with nine aces, while teammate Devin Parambo matched him with 14 points of her own for Victorious Secret.

Lauren Hope had six service points for Hope's in the losing effort.

THURSDAY'S

Tomahawks-VAS

Valley Athletic Supply captured two of three games from VBC Lehighton Tomahawks, 17-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Zack Lakitsky had 11 service points with seven aces to go along with Sarah Paluck's 10 service points to lead Valley Athletic.

Danielle Fake and Tiff Thompson both scored five service points apiece for the Tomahawks.

Hope's-Sandstorm

Sandstorm had its second three-game sweep of the week against Hope's, 25-11, 25-23, 25-11.

Rachel Krajcirik had 10 service points and with Emily Schilling tacked on eight to lead Sandstorm.

Alex Ramer had eight service points for Hope's.

Victorious-THF

Victorious Secret ended the week with a three-game sweep over Team Have Fun, 25-15, 25-20, 25-18.

Devin Parambo had 14 service points and Brittany Homcha added 11 service points to lead Victorious Secret.

Tricia McElmoyle chipped in eight service points for Team Have Fun.
