Estate dispute
Lee Ann Leming, 80 Main St., Berwick, filed a complaint against Scott Semmel, 1005 Charles St., Palmerton, in a dispute of the estate of Brent L. Semmel, who died Dec. 14, 2011. The defendant is the brother of the decedent.
According to the suit the plaintiff is alleging that the defendant has spent and continues to spend money from the estate for unnecessary modifications to the assets of the estate, of which the plaintiff is executrix.
The suit further alleges that the defendant has done these things without input from the plaintiff. Other allegations made in the suit includes the defendant misused funds which is detailed in the suit.
The court is asked multiple actions including a injunction enjoining and restraining the defendant from unnecessary wasting of assets, spending unnecessary amount of money to make changes to and interfere with the administration of the estate, conducting both a berry business and wholesale business without keeping accurate records, preparing any property contained within the estate for rental or other business purposes, asserting ownership of a ranch house contained in the estate, removing insurance policies, and many other allegations.
The court is also asked to require the defendant to account to the plaintiff all profits he has derived from his alleged hidden conduct concerning the estate, plus costs and other relief deemed necessary.
Loan default
United Guaranty Insurance Co., 230 N. Elm St., Greensboro, N.C., filed an action against Nina M. Wezner, 147 Sand Spring Rd., Weatherly, alleging she defaulted on a student loan. Sought are amounts of $1,904.01; $27,928.29; and $1,554.96.
