Northern Lehigh approves spending plans

Northern Lehigh School Board on Monday approved several spending plans for the 2020-21 school year.

Those included resolutions for Lehigh Carbon Community College, Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit, and Lehigh Career and Technical Institute.

The resolution regarding the 2020-21 LCCC sponsor contribution budget shows total expenditures at $43,858,473, which represents an increase of $1,999,883 or 4.8% over the 2019-20 budget. Northern Lehigh’s share of the total budget is $180,523, a decrease of $5,227, or 2.8%.

Also approved was a resolution concerning the CLIU 2020-21 budget that reflects total expenditures of $3,182,360, an increase of $77,765 over the 2019-20 budget. The district’s share is proposed to be $19,551, an increase of $758 from the 2019-20 budget.

Lastly, the resolution for the LCTI 2020-21 general fund budget and Academic Center expenditures for the 2020-21 school year that shows the general fund budget total is $28,407,230, an increase of $741,230. The district’s portion of the 2020-21 general fund budget is $1,190,627, an increase of $41,114. The expenditures for the Academic Center budget for the period of July 1, 2020, through June 30, 2021, total $1,840,400, a decrease of $19,600. There is no cost to the district for the Academic Center budget.
