Northern Lehigh School Board, on a 7-0 vote Monday, with directors Robert Keegan Jr. and Kristie Wilk absent, took the following action:
Personnel
• Accepted the resignation of Jeffrey Bachman from his position as technology coordinator, effective the end of the business day Oct. 8.
• Renewed the appointment of Amanda Trelease as a substitute secretary for the 2018-19 school year at the 2018-19 substitute rate.
• Renewed the appointment of Linda Neff as a substitute aide for the 2018-19 school year at the 2018-19 substitute rate.
• Renewed the appointment of Neff and Trelease as substitute cafeteria workers for the 2018-19 school year at the 2018-19 substitute rate.
• Approved Michael Knauss as a bus/sub driver from Brandywine Transportation to transport district students for the 2018-19 school year.
• Acknowledged that teachers Stephen Shuey and Steven Jonkman have completed the requirements per the Collective Bargaining Agreement that would entitle them to a salary increase for the 2018-19 school year.
• Appointed Katherine Farber and Frank Gnas as freshman class advisers, both at a stipend of $692, and Janelle Scheckler as National Honor Society adviser, at a stipend of $543.
• Appointed Fred Folland and John Weremedic as co-curricular volunteers for the Little Leo Club for the 2018-19 school year.
Conferences
• Granted Jennifer Butz and Mary Frank permission to attend the Women’s Leadership Forum: Engaging Girls in STEM, Oct. 15-16 in St. Paul, Minnesota, at a total cost of about $760 each, both to be funded from the Northern Lehigh Educational Foundation EITC Grant.
• Granted Superintendent Matthew J. Link permission to attend the PASA New Superintendents’ Academy, Part 3, Professional and Community Leadership, Jan. 8-9, 2019, at the PASA offices in Harrisburg, at a total cost of about $456, to be funded from the superintendent’s budget.
