NORTHERN LEHIGH SCHOOL BOARD — Personnel

Northern Lehigh School Board recently took the following personnel action:

• Accepted the retirement resignation of middle school technology teacher Robert Hicks, effective June 30. Hicks will retire from the district with 33 years of service.

• Accepted the retirement resignation of middle school special education teacher Lynn Haab, effective the end of the day June 14. Haab will retire from the district with 18 years of service.

• Accepted the retirement resignation of high school special education teacher Sharon Hunsicker, effective June 30. Hunsicker will retire from the district with 41 years of service.

• Accepted the retirement resignation of Sheila Lanshe from her position as high school guidance counselor, effective June 30. Lanshe will retire from the district with 28 years of service.

• Accepted the retirement resignation of Judith VanHorn from her position as Peters Elementary Cook’s Helper, effective the end of the day June 14. VanHorn will retire from the district with nine years of service.

• Approved the administrative transfer of Peggy Perry from high school PCA to Slatington Elementary Life Skills/Emotional Support Paraprofessional, at no change in salary, effective April 11.

• Approved the noninstructional appointment of Joan Jones as high school cafeteria monitor, at the rate of $11.20 an hour, four hours per day, five days per week, 180 days per year, effective May 14.

• Approved the change in status of Sabrina Clouse from three hours per day middle school cook’s helper, to five hours per day middle school cook’s helper, at no change in salary, effective Aug. 20.

• Approved the change in status of Julie Niebell from three hours per day middle school cook’s helper, to five hours per day Peters Elementary School cook’s helper, at no change in salary, effective Aug. 20.

• Renewed the appointment of Bryce Allen, Colton Falenwolfe, Jennifer Haas and Cory Hammond as summertime maintenance/custodial helpers for the summer of 2019 at a salary of $10 per hour.

• Approved the appointment of Kimberly Deprill as substitute paraprofessional for the 2018-19 school year at the 2018-19 substitute rate as approved on the Supplemental Personnel Salary Schedule.
