NORTHERN LEHIGH SCHOOL BOARD

Northern Lehigh School Board took the following action on Monday:

• Approved the Carbon Lehigh Intermediate Unit 2019-20 Facilities Plan Committee report.

• Renewed an agreement through June 30, 2021, with Berks County Intermediate Unit for tax bill services related to the 2019 and 2020 tax years.

• Approved a conference request for Janet Bashore and Susanne Hegedus to attend the Positive Behavior Interventions and Support Implementers’ Forum, May 14-15, in Hershey. Bashore’s cost of registration is $75, lodging $199 and meals $45, for a total cost of $319; and Hegedus’ cost of registration $75, travel $85 and meals $45, for a total cost of $205, to be funded from the Peters Elementary Instructional Staff Development Budget.

• Approved the final club/activity applications for the Slatington Elementary Garden Club; the Slatington Elementary Girls’ on the Run Club; and the Slatington Elementary Decorating Club. The Northern Lehigh Education Association recommended a $500 stipend for each of the club advisers beginning with the 2019-20 school year, to be added to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

• Approved the recommendation from administration that graduation be set for 7 p.m. June 14 in Bulldog Stadium, weather permitting. Otherwise, it will be held in the high school gymnasium.
