Ogozalek caps successful wrestling career at Gettysburg

Lenny Ogozalek recently ended an impressive wrestling career at Gettysburg College.

Ogozalek, a 2014 Panther Valley High School graduate, had a senior year to remember. He compiled a 32-16 record that included 19 pins. His pin total was the best on the team while his win total was second on the team. In addition, he finished third in the Centennial Conference at 125 pounds and placed fifth at Regionals in that weight class.

Ogozalek’s 19 pins this year set a single-season record at Gettysburg and his 37 career pins was the second most in school history. He leaves Gettysburg with 86 career wins, tied for 13th place all-time at the school. He also has three pins ranked among the top-25 fastest in school history.

Academically, Ogozalek had the highest GPA on the team. He was recently named on the Academic Honor Roll and also on the NCAA Division III All-American Scholar Wrestling Team. He will graduate in the fall with a major in mathematical economics and a minor in mathematics.
