One killed in Lehigh Twp. motorcycle crash
A 26-year-old woman died overnight from injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash which took place Monday evening on Route 248.
Taylor Hutnick, of Whitehall, was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem Campus at 2:53 a.m., according to a press release from Lehigh County Coroner Scott M. Grim.
Hutnick was the passenger on a motorcycle that was involved in a collision with a car at the intersection of Routes 248 and 145 in Lehigh Township, Northampton County. The crash occurred around 6:50 p.m. on Monday.
The driver of the motorcycle was also transported to an area hospital, according to published reports.
An autopsy to determine the cause of death was scheduled for Wednesday, according to the press release.
The coroner’s office and Lehigh Township Police Department are continuing their investigation.
