One-vehicle crash investigated

State police at Lehighton reported on a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 9:15 p.m. Saturday along Fireline Road in Bowmanstown.

Troopers said Jevon C. Nelson, 18, of Palmerton, was driving a 2003 Saturn Ion westbound when he lost control of the vehicle. The Saturn went onto the berm and struck a road sign.

The vehicle came to rest about 40 feet from the initial point of impact. Nelson was not injured. The vehicle had to be towed.

Nelson was cited for the crash.
