One-vehicle crash in Lower Towamensing

State police at Lehighton reported investigating a one-vehicle crash at 6:56 p.m. Friday along Hahns Dairy Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Troopers said a 17-year-old girl from Lehighton was operating a 2002 Jeep Liberty westbound and at some point became distracted. The Jeep left the road and impacted with an embankment and mailbox which caused the vehicle to overturn and slide. She was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The Jeep had to be towed from the scene. The teen was not cited, troopers noted.
