Over $1,000 worth of items stolen

Over $1,000 worth of items were stolen from a vehicle in Schuylkill County.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the theft occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Feb. 1 and 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 2.

Eric Hager, 41, of Wellsboro, Tioga County, reported that the passenger window of his 2004 Dodge Ram pickup was smashed while parked in the 200 block of Airport Road in Foster Township.

Stolen items were: a set of jumper cables, a 100-piece Stanley ratchet set, a 20 volt ½-inch DeWalt impact driver with spare battery, a pair of Ray-Ban prescription sunglasses and a set of ratchet straps.

The total value of the items was set at $1,108.

With so many scum bags around, there's no way one can leave their vehicle unattended for any length of time anymore. Sad but very true.
