Palmerton’s poppy queen and Legion mascot
Five-year-old McKenna Freeby, second from left, was named Palmerton’s 2019 poppy queen, and Matt Jahelka, 6, second from right, was named Legion mascot. Freeby’s duties will include handing out poppies for purchase during the Memorial Day weekend. As Legion mascot, Jahelka will place wreaths at Palmerton’s Memorial Day service at the park.
