Palmerton Borough Council recognized seven high school seniors for their community involvement and academic success at last week’s council meeting.

Mia Fantasia, Katelyn Rehatcheck, Madison Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Matthew Binder, Benjamin Serfass and Lucas Christman were all selected by Palmerton High School administration to receive the honor.

“You all made it,” Council President Terry Costenbader told the students.

Each student was given a certificate. All but Jacob and Christman were present.

“You got to be around these kids to know,” Councilman Richard Nothstein said. “We’re in good hands with today’s youth. Just give them a chance.”
