Published October 31. 2017 01:33PM

The Palmerton cross country team is one of 10 finalists in the national “Built with Chocolate Milk™” coaches’ grant competition.

Coach Joshua Nenscel and his team created an inspiring video about training, facing challenges and refueling with chocolate milk. It is now up to the public to choose the winner by casting their votes by the end of the day on Nov. 5.

To view the video and cast a vote for the Palmerton Cross Country team, go to: https://www.facebook.com/builtwithchocolatemilk/videos/1638540099499415/ or https://twitter.com/chocolate_milk/status/922468614942244864 and follow instructions to cast your vote.

The grand prize winner will be awarded a $10,000 grant for their athletic program, and two runner-up teams will each be awarded a $5,000 grant.

“With budget cuts and lack of funding often one of districts’ top challenges, we know these grants can go a long way in easing some of the burden programs and coaches face every season,” said Miranda Abney, Marketing Director for Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP), which runs the “Built with Chocolate Milk™” campaign. “Coaches help athletes build training routines for life and we’re proud to support them and, through these grants, help build a program’s long-term success.”
