Palmerton Hotel cited for liquor violations

Published October 07. 2019 09:24AM

A Carbon County business was cited Sept. 16 by the Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board for a violation of the state liquor code.

Officials said the Palmerton Hotel Inc., 302-304 Delaware Ave., Palmerton, failed to post a notice of suspension in a conspicuous place on the outside of the licensed premises, or in a window plainly visible from the outside of the premises. The business is also cited for provided alcoholic beverages during a time when the hotel liquor license was suspended.

A judge will decide fines ranging from $50 to $1,000 for minor offenses, and up to $5,000 for more serious offenses.
