A Palmerton man admitted assaulting his girlfriend and also drunken driving Thursday in Carbon County court.
Ronald Strohl, 64, pleaded guilty before President Judge Roger N. Nanovic II to one count each of simple assault and driving under the influence.
Strohl was arrested on Oct. 23, 2017, for the assault incident. Palmerton police were dispatched to 450 Lafayette Ave., for a reported domestic assault. On scene officers spoke with the victim, who said her boyfriend, Strohl, had grabbed her and pushed her to the ground and a few moments later grabbed her a second time and shoved her. Police noted signs of physical contact.
