Palmerton man cited in crash
Joseph A. Lafiura, 26, of Palmerton, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 7:20 a.m. March 5 on Lower Smith Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township.
State police at Lehighton said he was driving a 2000 Honda Civic westbound when he lost control of the vehicle on the icy roadway. The vehicle left the north side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned onto its roof.
Police said Lafiura was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
