Holy Trinity Lutheran

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, will hold worship services at 10:15 a.m. on Sunday. Sunday school is also at 10:15 a.m. Adult Sunday school is at 9 a.m.

Doors open for the annual Super Bowl party at 6 p.m. Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m. Food will be served, and fun and fellowship will be had. Come out and enjoy this event.

Breakfast

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Company No. 2, 359 Main St., Parryville.

Platter choices include pancakes, French toast, SOS, eggs, omelets or popular Fire House Mess.

Choice of meats are bacon, ham, sausage or scrapple. Includes homefries, juice and coffee. Large and small platters available.

Concourse Club

The Concourse Club will meet at 7 p.m. Feb. 6 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2915 Fireline Road, Palmerton. The program is Design with Nine. Create and take home your own mini flower arrangement with Carol Costenbader and Lisa Snell Kern instructors.

Souper Bowl cook-off

Living Hope Lighthouse Church, 705 Third St., Palmerton, will hold worship services at 10 a.m. on Sunday. Immediately following the service from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will be the annual Soup & Chili Cookoff. Come and enjoy tasting and voting for your favorite soup or chili. Good luck to all entries.

Game Day wings

Bowmanstown Volunteer Fire Company, 259 Lime St., Bowmanstown, will be selling wings on Sunday from 2 to 6 p.m. Also fries, pierogies and Matey’s frozen pizza. Call 610-852-2722 to pre-order.

Knitting Club

The Knitting Club will meet at the Palmerton Area Library from 6-8 p.m. Monday.

The club is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels.

Blue Mountain Fiber Guild

The Blue Mountain Fiber Guild will meet at the Palmerton Area Library on Tuesday, Feb. 4 at 7 p.m. This group explores all things related to fiber arts (spinning, weaving, etc.) Come and check it out!

Blind Book Date

For the month of February, take a covered book from the library’s display, check it out, and discover what it is when you get home. This is your chance to read something different. Every Blind Book Date you check out earns you one chance in a basket raffle. The basket drawing is March 2.

Palmerton school district

The Palmerton Area School District announces that its schools will be closed on Feb. 17 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday.

In addition, Feb. 14 will be a snow makeup day.
