Oldies dance
The Pace-makers Association is sponsoring an Oldies Dance on Saturday at the West End Fire Company 2, 855 W. Princeton Ave., Palmerton. Doors open at 6 p.m. BYOB with soda and snacks provided. Christmas in the Park
Mark your calendars for Palmerton’s Annual Christmas in the Park Celebration. It will begin at noon Dec. 1. There will be entertainment all afternoon and more than 100 trees for all to see. Santa Claus will greet the children. The event is sponsored by the Holiday Lights Committee. More updated information will follow.
Fall Bazaar
St. Matthew’s UCC, 102 Church Road, Kunkletown, will hold its annual fall bazaar, bake sale and tricky tray from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. There will be refreshments to eat in or take out and a soup sale, along with a rummage sale. For information, call 610-381-2442.
Breakfast
A breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon on Sunday at the Parryville Volunteer Fire Company 2, 359 Main St. Platter choices include pancakes, French toast, SOS, eggs, omelets or the popular Firehouse Mess. Choice of meats are bacon, ham, sausage, or scrapple. Also home fries, juice and coffee. Large and small platters available.
PTO craft/ vendor fair
S.S. Palmer/Parkside PTO will be holding a craft/vendor fair at the Palmerton Area High School, 3529 Fireline Road Palmerton, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10. There will be lots of crafters, vendors and more. The Girl Scouts will be holding a bake sale. There will be a basket raffle and 50/50 drawing. Hot foods will be available.
Knitting Club
The Knitting Club will meet at the Palmerton Area Library, 402 Delaware Ave, Palmerton, from 6-8 p.m. Monday. The group is free and open to anyone interested in knitting and crocheting of all skill levels.
Blue Mountain Fiber Guild
The Blue Mountain Fiber Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 6 at the Palmerton Area Library. The group explores all things related to fiber arts: spinning, weaving, etc. Any interested person is invited to join the group.
Quilt Guild
The Sew What Quilt Guild will meet at the Palmerton Area Library at 7 p.m. Nov. 8. New members and visitors are always welcome. Please use the side door.
Jerusalem UCC
Jerusalem United Church of Christ, 545 Church Drive, Palmerton (Trachsville) will Celebrate “All Saint’s Sunday” on Nov. 4 to remember all those who were connected with JUCC who have passed away since the last “All Saint’s Day.” Services are held at 9 and 10:30 a.m. Seated Communion will be held during the 10:30 a.m. service.
The bazaar and blood drive are on Saturday. Filling orders are due by Sunday. Call the church at 610-681-4412 for information.
