The Palmerton High School boys’ soccer team recently held a benefit game where it raised funds through a basket raffle and collected items to be donated to both the Carbon County Animal Shelter and the Carbon County Friends of Animals. The team raised $225 to be split between the two animal shelters and provided each shelter with a bin of donations from their respective wish lists. Some players gathered on Oct. 26 to deliver the funds raised and the donation bins to each shelter.
