Meed’s United Methodist Church
Meed’s United Methodist Church, 126 W. Catawissa St., Nesquehoning, will hold family photos with Santa and a free Thanksgiving dinner this weekend.
On Saturday, photos with Santa will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the church. There will be music provided by Tanya Erdman, as well as food available for purchase. Photos of children with Santa are available starting at $5 and include a 4x6 portrait; while family photos start at $10 and include a 5x7 portrait.

On Sunday, a free Thanksgiving dinner will be held at the church. Seatings are 3 and 5 p.m.

Lansford
Leaf collection
The Lansford Public Works Department is collecting leaves on Mondays through November. All leaves should be raked to the curb for collection on Mondays.
All collecting is weather permitting.

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Nov. 20 to 24 is:
Monday: Pumpkin soup, turkey sandwich, cold beets and ambrosia
Tuesday: Breaded pork chop and halushki or tuna salad sandwich
Wednesday: Turkey, sweet potatoes, and filling or chicken craisin salad
Thursday: Closed
Friday: Closed
The senior center has also announced upcoming events for the remainder of November.
A Music Together Class will be held on Nov. 20 at 10:30 a.m.; Scattergories on Nov. 21 at 11 a.m.; bingo will be played on Nov. 22 at 11 a.m.; the center will be closed on Nov. 23 and 24 in observance of Thanksgiving.
Name That Tune on Nov. 27 at 11 a.m.; a Sands Casino Trip on Nov. 28, bus leaves at 10 a.m., the center will be open; Surprise Box bingo on Nov. 29 at 11 a.m.; Nickel-Keeno on Nov. 30 at 11 a.m.; Christmas decorating on Dec. 1.
