Parents in the Know program scheduled

Care Net of Carbon County, in cooperation with the Victims Resource Center, will present Parents in the Know, a free innovative prevention program designed to help parents and guardians build, practice and strengthen skills to prevent child sexual abuse.

The program will be offered this Wednesday and March 13 from 3:30-5 p.m. at Care Net of Carbon County’s Nesquehoning location, 250 W. Catawissa St.

The goals of this program are to promote safe and respectful behaviors between adults and children; recognize questionable behaviors in adults; and promote discussion of healthy relationships, age appropriate sexual development, sexual abuse prevention, and healthy sexuality.
