Passenger identified in Schuylkill fatality

State police at Schuylkill Haven said a passenger in one of two vehicles involved in a head-on crash at 1:28 p.m. May 24 at the intersection of Route 25 and Kushwa Road in Hubley Township was pronounced dead at the scene.

She has been identified as LaRae M. Lucas, 76, of Hegins.

Police said Lucas was the passenger in a car that was hit when another drifted over the line.

Both drivers of the vehicles and a passenger in the other vehicle were transported by Medic Flight helicopter to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

The drivers were identified as Lorelei A. Oswald, 76, of Zerbe, and David A. Lucas, 67, of Hegins. A passenger with Oswald, Jamie F. Oswald, 43, of Tremont, was the other person who was injured.
