Pedestrian struck in Washington Twp. hit-and-run
State police are investigating a hit-and-run crash Monday night in Washington Township.
State police at Bethlehem said that at 11:45 p.m. troopers responded to 6714 Route 873 for a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian.
It was determined the pedestrian, Robert Hynes, 62, was struck by an unknown vehicle as he was walking on the right shoulder of the highway.
After striking Hynes, the vehicle continued northbound on 873 without stopping.
Hynes was treated at the scene by Northern Valley EMS and transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest for his injuries.
