Penn’s Peak offering military, veteran discount
Penn’s Peak is honoring area military and veterans with a new discount for upcoming concerts.
The Jim Thorpe area concert venue, which had a special veterans discount for Veterans Day, announced this week that it has made the special discount a permanent fixture in its operations.
“We decided to offer the discount as a thank-you to those who have served our country,” said Krysta Fink, marketing manager at Penn’s Peak. “We figured rather than thank them once a year, we should be thanking them every day.”
The discount for veterans is limited to walk-up purchases at the venue’s box office, meaning that if a veteran would like tickets to an upcoming concert, they will have to head up to the box office at 325 Maury Road, Penn Forest Township, to purchase the tickets in person. Tickets purchased online and through all Ticketmaster locations do not qualify for the discount.
Fink said that the new discount will waive the facility fees on a pair of tickets for the veteran and a guest and will vary from show to show.
To receive the discount, veterans and active duty military members must provide proof of military service or retiree ID.
The Penn’s Peak box office is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays and event days.
