Plans for Brodheadsville Rite-Aid relocation move forward
A relocation project for the Brodheadsville Rite-Aid is moving ahead.
Maser Consulting PA., the engineering consultant for the Rite-Aid, displayed plans for the new store that will be built across from Rite-Aid’s current building on the land where John’s Automart is located.
Rhett Chiliberti, the geographic discipline leader at Maser Consulting, said the project is urgent because the current Rite-Aid building is in the path of the new roundabout that the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will build at the intersection of Routes 115 and 209 in Brodheadsville.
“Rite-Aid is really against the clock at this point to basically be constructed and operational before PennDOT tears down the building,” Chiliberti said. “The Rite-Aid team is really eager to move this thing forward.”
The township approved a lot line adjustment and minor subdivision. But it tabled the land development plan for the Oct. 1 meeting to give the firm time to complete the necessary requirements.
