Pleasant Valley gets track, lacrosse wins
Pleasant Valley’s track teams earned a sweep, while its girls lacrosse team also picked up a victory on Monday. It was also a good day for Northern Lehigh, which recorded baseball and softball victories.
BASEBALL
Catasauqua-No. Lehigh
Northern Lehigh took advantage of three Catasauqua errors to earn a tight Colonial League victory, 2-1.
Preston Bauer finished a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate for the Bulldogs, with a run scored. Brandon Hess had an RBI double, and winning pitcher, Luke Eitner had his team’s other RBI.
For the Rough Riders, Mason Schlofer finished 2-for-3 with a run scored.

Tamaqua’s late-game comeback bid fell just short as Blue Mountain held on for a 4-3 Schuylkill League win.
Kaleb Sophy notched the pitching win for the Eagles as he fanned five, while teammate Billy Gerlott led the offense with a 2-for-3 showing.
For the Blue Raiders, Nate Boyle (2-for-4, RBI), Brayden Knoblauch (2-for-4), and Cody Hamm (2-for-3, run) all had notable performances.

Shyanna Williams had a strong game for the Bulldogs, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBIs and two runs scored. Hailie Krasenics and Julia Wanamaker both added two RBIs and two runs scored.
Alicia Horn tossed a one-hitter and amassed five strikeouts for the Bulldogs. Madison Kessler had the sole hit for the Lady Rough Riders.

Panther Valley-Marian
Marian utilized strong pitching and some timely hitting to defeat Panther Valley, 10-0, in Schuylkill League action.
The Fillies’ Lyndsey Reinoehl struck out seven batters and tossed a two-hitter in the five-inning mercy-rule victory. Reinoehl also contributed at the plate with two hits and an RBI.
Lacey Blasko added two hits and two runs scored for Marian, while both Macy Alansky and Athena Marenkoski had a hit, two runs scored, and two RBIs.
Faith Drumbore and Katrina Horvath had the Panthers’ only hits.

Jim Thorpe erupted offensively to pull away for a 16-6 Schuylkill League victory over Lourdes.
Christy McLean led the Olympians at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a double and five RBIs. Kristen Pompa was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, and both Sky Searfoss and Jada Mahmde were 2-for-3 with a double.
For Lourdes, Payton Carl had a single and a double.

Tamaqua-Blue Mountain
Tamaqua dropped a 5-4 Schuylkill League decision to Blue Mountain.
The Raiders trailed 5-1 before scoring a run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Bryn Clifford. In the seventh, Tamaqua scored a pair of runs on a Jen Frederickson single, an Ally Frederick triple, and a Blue Mountain error. But the rally came up just short as winning pitcher Peightyn Schwartz escaped further trouble.
Taylor Hartman was 2-for-2 with three RBIs for the Eagles. Alex Shaner added two hits, including a solo home run.
For Tamaqua, Frederick was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Jane Kupchinsky also had two hits, while Bryn Miller belted a solo home run.

For the Indians (3-4, 0-3), Heidi Greene was 3-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI, while Becky Serfass added two hits.

Pleasant Valley-Emmaus
Pleasant Valley had its offense in high gear as it outscored Emmaus, 23-16, in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action.
Alexandra Bush led the Bears with seven goals and two assists. Hayle Stintsman finished with six goals and Jules Lopez, and Brielle McInaw both added five goals.
For Emmaus, Taylor O’Brien scored five goals and Grace Hall had four goals.
So. Lehigh-Northwestern
Southern Lehigh proved to be too experienced and potent on offense as it rolled to a 19-2 Colonial League victory over Northwestern.
Taylor Moncman scored four goals for the Spartans.
For Northwestern, Charlotte Horn and Alexandra Lister both scored a goal.

Dieruff-Pleasant Vy.
Pleasant Valley swept Dieruff in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference action. The PV boys nabbed a tight 78-72 decision, while the girls handled the Huskies, 128-18.
Armani Dunkley (200, 400, high jump); Lily Mingora (1600, 3200); DeNair Drew (100 hurdles, 300 hurdles); and Madison Wilson (discus, javelin) were all multi-event winners for the Pleasant Valley girls.
