Pocono Arts Council announces winners

The Pocono Arts Council Members’ Exhibition 2018 will continue in the ARTSPACE Gallery through May 26. An artists’ reception will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday.

This year, 87 member artists participated, competing for awards in eight categories.

Jurors for the show were Denis Aumiller from Allentown, Lenore Fiore-Mills from Waverly and Barbara Tiberio from Trexlertown.

Best of Show and first-, second- and third-place awards in each category will be presented at 5 p.m. to the following winners:

Best of Show: Sharon Cosgrove, Wilkes-Barre

Oils: First place, John McAllister, Stroudsburg; second place, Ann Sikorski-Schneider, Coopersburg; third place, Jason Williamson, East Stroudsburg

Acrylics: First place: Lauryn de Leeuw, Lord’s Valley; second place, Anna Maria Blackshire, Albrightsville; third place, Jane Mayhew MacHale, East Stroudsburg

Watercolor: First place, Paula L. George, East Stroudsburg; second place, Linda Kreckel, Center Valley; third place, Jan Swift, Blairstown, New Jersey

Works on paper: First place, Christy Lee, Stroudsburg; second place, Brooke Jana, Waverly; third place, Morgan Weissbach, Sciota

Fine crafts: First place, Tracy Grainger, East Stroudsburg; second place, Terry Kloiber, Pen Argyl; third place, Tracy Gross, Henryville
