Pocono Regional Police charge 2 with DUI

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported on two driving under the influence arrests made by officers.

• On April 13 about 12:15 a.m. police saw a vehicle pull out in front of another vehicle, nearly causing a crash at Joe’s Kwik Mart, located at Route 940 and Long Pond Road, in Tobyhanna Township.

The vehicle was stopped and the driver identified as John Dipietrantonio III, 43, of Thorndale, Chester County. He appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. He was then taken to the county DUI center for a blood draw. The DUI charge is pending the test results.

• On May 1 about 11:20 p.m. police were dispatched for a female motorist unconscious in a vehicle at the Five Points intersection in Mount Pocono. Police and a EMS unit arrived and attempted to wake the driver with no success. It was determined that she was under the influence of alcohol.

She was identified as Tiesha Kim Martin, 27, of Tobyhanna. She was awakened and given field sobriety tests, which she failed. She was then taken to the DUI center for a blood draw. The DUI charge is pending the tests results. She is also facing a charge of driving under suspension.
