Police are investigating drug overdose deaths

Two Monroe County men were found deceased in a residence in Jackson Township in June. Police believe drug overdoses are the cause of the fatalities.

Police said they were dispatched to 1829 Route 715 in the township for a report of two deceased men and found Kent D. Brightman, 65, and Daniel Moore, 53, to be unresponsive. Police said while investigating the scene, suspected drugs and paraphernalia were located in the residence.

The county coroner’s office is investigating.

Police said the manner and cause of the deaths are pending autopsies and toxicology tests done at the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township.
