Police charge man, teen in drug sale

McAdoo Police released details on an investigation into the sale of illegal drugs, charging a 14-year-old male and Joseph Bodnar, 35, of Hazleton in connection with a sale on July 12.

Members of the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force, along with McAdoo, Kline Township and Rush Township Police were conducting an investigation when Bodnar and the 14-year-old drove to a house in the unit block of West Blaine Street, exchanging 100 packs of heroin in exchange for $240. After the sale, the duo got back in their vehicle and were stopped by police.

Additional heroin was recovered from the vehicle.

They were both charged with felony counts of possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communication facility, along with a misdemeanor count of possession of a controlled substance.

Bodnar was also charged with driving with a suspended license, DUI related.
