Police cite driver in Schuylkill crash

State police at Frackville reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 8:33 a.m. on Friday at the intersection of Tuscarora Mountain Road and Route 209 in Schuylkill Township, Schuylkill County.

Troopers said Danny Devila, 43, of Tamaqua, was driving a 1995 Chevrolet eastbound and failed to stop for a posted stop sign at Route 209. His vehicle then struck a 2014 Dodge Durango operated by Dana MacDonald, 34, of MaryD, who was northbound on 209.

Devila and his passenger Eric J. Holderman, 39, of Mohnton, Berks County, received minor injuries. Devila refused treatment while Holderman was treated at the scene by Lehighton EMT unit personnel. MacDonald and two passengers, two children ages 6 and 9, were evaluated at the scene by Tamaqua EMT unit personnel.

Both vehicles had to be towed.

Troopers cited Devila was cited for a stop sign violation.
