Police conducting checkpoints

The North Central Regional DUI Enforcement Program has announced sobriety checkpoints and roving patrols will be conducted through Jan. 7 on routes 209, 248, 443, 903, and 54.

The North Central Regional DUI Enforcement Program reminds travelers if they suspect a drunken driver to dial 911. To report underage drinking call 1-888-UNDER21.

The sobriety checkpoints are part of the North Central Regional DUI Enforcement Program.

Sobriety checkpoints and the underage drinking enforcement program are funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

While you might have a point, I disagree with "natural right to travel" argument. If the drunkard has that right, then so do I. Having nothing to hide, I'll opt for these stops. We need law and order, that's how this system has and will always work. You seem to propose chaos and anarchy, which is of the devil. Sooner or later your sin will find you, especially when you post with such lunacy. Frein was a coward who shot innocent men. You are an idiot who needs to be locked up too.
It does help alot most of the time but in other states this has been banned because it is a vioation to everyone. They need "probable cause" to pull someone over & detain them. It's an infringment with no cause. Some states get around it conducting "seatbelt checks" just so they can "observe" the drivers. Mike Meyers, police are trained to approach a car with one hand on their gun to protect themselves from people like Frein. I know a person before this pratice that shot a state trooper & the trooper had to have his spleen removed but he did live. Since then it was always a hand on the gun when approaching a car. Although this or Frein have nothing to do with checkpoints.

It's Krystal M... who mentioned Frein. As for the hand on the gun, let them do what they nedd to do, I'll have my hands on the steering wheel out of deep respect for these officers of the law. Again, I've got nothing to hide.
