Police investigate dog incidents

Police are investigating the following incidents involving dogs:

• Justin Jacob Caiazzo, 41, of Albrightsville, has been cited by state police at the Fern Ridge barracks with violating a section of the dog law after his dog attacked another one at 7:43 p.m. May 3 at 40 Locust Lane in Penn Forest Township.

Police said his dog’s leash broke and the dog attacked a dog owned by an Albrightsville woman. Police said the victim’s dog sustained three puncture wounds.

• Sharon Derose, 33, of Nazareth was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks for allowing her dogs to run loose.

Police said they were summoned to 1200 block of Weingartner Road, Ross Township, at 3:20 p.m. May 25, when the captured the dogs and transported them to an animal shelter.

In another report, police said Thomas Olsen, 58, of Palmerton, will be cited after they responded to an incident at 9:09 a.m. June 2 at 200 Green Valley Drive, Towamensing Township.
