A Lehighton man failed to stop after being involved in a crash at 1:34 p.m. Aug. 6 on Interstate 78 in Upper Macungie Township, was cited by state police at the Fogelsville barracks under a section of the Motor Vehicle Code dealing with duties of a driver in emergency response areas.

Daryl N. Snyder, 64, was cited after police stopped him about 2 miles west of the scene.

Police said he was driving a 2016 Mack truck in the left lane of the interstate when he failed to move over upon approaching a tow truck that had stopped off the left lane to tow a disabled vehicle. Police said Snyder’s vehicle struck the tow truck and the driver continued down the roadway until being stopped by police.
