Police: Man shot 4 with Mossburg 12 gauge

A man has been charged with shooting four people at a home in Chestnuthill Township Saturday night.

State police at Fern Ridge said they received multiple calls at 8:08 p.m. about shots fired at a residence near 843 Toll Road.  Police arrived at the residence and found the four victims who were treated and taken to Lehigh Valley-Pocono.

According to scanner reports, one victim was shot  in the eye lid and another in the leg and stomach. Their conditions are unknown.

After interviews were conducted, police charged Thomas George Modzel, no age listed, of pointing a

camouflage colored Mossburg 500A 12-gauge shotgun at the victims and firing multiple rounds.

He is being charged with criminal attempt homicide, aggravated assault, reckless endangerment of another person and simple assault.
