Police: Man was naked, delusional

A 55-year-old Kunkletown man is facing charges after state police at the Lehighton barracks were summoned to a harassment by physical contact case at 1:11 p.m. Oct. 6 on Valley Road West in Polk Township.

Police said the victim is a 58-year-old man from Kunkletown.

Police said the man was inside his residence in an uncontrollable, delusional state. After attempting to negotiate with him, he was detained and resisted troopers, but was eventually transported to the St. Luke’s Hospital, Bartonsville, due to his altered state of mind.

Police said no one was injured in the incident. After interviewing witnesses and neighbors, police said it was determined the man was outside naked in the area of the roadway. Police did not release his name.
