Lehigh Township Police Department continues to investigate the house fire where a man and his 10-year-old son were killed.

Township Police Chief Scott Fogel said that the department, in conjunction with the state police fire marshal and Lehigh Township Fire Marshal, is investigating the fire.

“We still have not found a cause for the fire, nor a second body,” Fogel said. “We will be sifting through the debris over the coming weeks at an indoor facility.”

In the meantime, Fogel added, “We are asking anyone who may have been driving by the area at the early stages of the fire and observed anything. We do not suspect arson, we are simply looking for causation and which came first, fire or explosion.”

The fire broke out at 12:47 a.m. Jan. 21 at 1132 Blue Mountain Drive in Danielsville, and claimed the lives of Bruce A. “Buddy” Miller Jr., 36, and his 10-year-old son, Bruce Alan Miller.

Fogel said police are seeking any information that people passing by during the early stages of the fire may have, and that anyone with information is asked to call 610-760-8800 or email ltpd1@lehightownship.com.

“In the coming weeks, the police department and Northampton County Coroner’s office will be combing through the debris that was removed from the scene,” he said. “No cause for the fire has been determined at this time.”
