Police seize drugs, cash, charge two in Schuylkill

Two Schuylkill County residents are facing drug-related counts following the execution of a search warrant at a county residence.

State police at Reading said a search warrant was executed at 515 Pine Hill St., Minersville, at 9:10 a.m. Jan. 6.

As a result of the search troopers found 40 grams of methamphetamine, 3 grams of heroin, in excess of $1,000 in cash, two digital scales and miscellaneous drug paraphernalia.

The raid was conducted by state police Troop L vice/narcotics unit, the district attorney’s office and the county drug task force. Also assisting were troopers from the Schuylkill Haven barracks, Minersville police and code enforcement office and the county children and youth office.

Troopers said as a result of the search Nancy Luna, 48, and a 17-year-old female, both of Minersville, are facing drug and related charges.
