Police terminate chase of motorcycle

State police at the Lehighton barracks were involved in a chase at 1:15 a.m. April 4 in Lower Towamensing Township, but were forced to call it off.

Police said they observed a black motorcycle speeding at Route 248 and Club Road and a traffic stop was attempted.

The driver fled the scene and police pursued the cycle until the chased ended in Lehigh County.
