Police: Walnutport man threatened neighbors
A Walnutport man is in custody after making threats to his neighbors.
Brent Hefferan, 33, also faces charges of disorderly conduct and harassment.
According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by officer Scott Ledo of the Walnutport Borough Police Department:
At 10:28 p.m. Oct. 31, Ledo was dispatched to an apartment on Main Street for loud music.
Ledo could hear the music outside of the building and told Hefferan to turn down the music. Hefferan complied.
After Ledo spoke to the victims, he remained outside the building.
Ledo then heard Hefferan screaming, “You’re nothing but whiny bitches. You will not be laughing when your car blows up tomorrow. I wish you would die.”
Hefferan then banged on the wall, yelling, “Knock, knock, knock.”
Ledo cleared the call and went back to his station to talk to Sgt. Jason Nothstein about charging Hefferan.
Ledo was dispatched back to the same apartment at 10:50 p.m. for a man yelling.
Ledo heard Hefferan yelling in his apartment, saying, “I wish you would die.”
Hefferan was taken into custody and is incarcerated in Northampton County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
Hefferan is scheduled to have a preliminary hearing at 9 a.m. Thursday before District Judge Robert Hawke of Walnutport.
