A Washington Township woman is back in jail for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend with a knife during a dispute.

Tammie Lynn Haydt, 45, of the 200 block of Diamond Street, was scheduled to have a hearing last week in Lehigh County Central Court on charges of aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.

However, Haydt waived her right to the hearing.

According to the affidavit of probable cause filed by trooper Robert Griffin of the Pennsylvania State Police, Bethlehem barracks:

At 12:44 a.m. Aug. 19, Griffin and trooper David Tretter were dispatched to a home on Lovers Lane for a report of a domestic disturbance between a male and female.

Griffin arrived at the home at 1:08 a.m. and saw a man on the rear porch of the residence.

Griffin made contact with the man, who identified himself and said that he engaged in a verbal argument with his girlfriend, Haydt, about their failing relationship.

The man said that the argument became physical when Haydt picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed him in the torso twice.

The man described the knife as a black-handled, serrated knife that was located above the keyboard of his computer.

The knife was located above the keyboard of a computer located in the kitchen of the residence, and was seized and entered into evidence at the Bethlehem State Police barracks.

While speaking with the man, Griffin saw two wounds on his torso, which were actively bleeding.

One of the wounds was on the left side of his torso, below the rib cage, while the second wound was on the right side of his torso.

Each of the wounds was about a half-inch in length.

The man was evaluated by EMS and subsequently transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.

Griffin entered the kitchen and saw Haydt seated in a chair.

While speaking with her, Haydt said that she and the man engaged in an argument about their failing relationship, and said that the argument became physical, but wouldn’t describe how.

As Griffin was speaking with Haydt, he saw that she had glassy, bloodshot eyes and spoke with slurred speech.

Haydt remains incarcerated in Lehigh County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail monetary.
