Published January 09. 2020 12:13PM

Polk Township supervisors reorganized during a regular business meeting on Monday evening.

Most of the leadership stayed the same as last year, said Brian K. Ahner, who remained the chairman and roadmaster.

Michael D. Hurley is the vice chairman; Carl S. Heckman is the third supervisor; Beverly Christman is the treasurer; Rebecca Tippett is the secretary; Mary Beth Serfass is the office assistant; Jonathan Shupp is the sewage enforcement officer; Scott Policelli is the alternate sewage enforcement officer; and James V. Fareri is the solicitor for the supervisors and the planning commission.

The new leadership announced Monday is: Zoning code officer Tracy Herman, of Lehigh Valley Inspection Service; and Tino Nocchi, of Base Engineering Inc., is the U.C.C. official/inspector. Lehigh Valley Inspection Service remained the alternate U.C.C. inspector.

In other business, supervisors did not act on their short-term rental ordinance or their firearms ordinance.

“We had some input from residents, and we want to have the planning commission look at the two ordinances,” said Ahner.

“We want the general public to review them and address their concerns before we adopt the ordinances,” he said.
