Polk Twp. reviews bid for property
It was a quick meeting at Polk Township on Thursday morning.
The supervisors reviewed the bid they received for a 4-acre property on Interchange Road.
Supervisors’ Chairman Brian Ahner said the land was unusable because it is landlocked and requires an easement to access it. He said the best thing about the property is that it has a stream flowing by it.
The sole bidder was the resident adjacent to the property with a bid of $25,500.
“We can put that money toward our parks,” Ahner said.
Acceptance of the bid is conditional on the township solicitor’s review of it. If he approves of it, then the supervisors will vote on it at their next meeting on Feb. 25.
