Project One Step is preparing for its sixth annual benefit choral concert in Stroudsburg.

On Nov. 18, Patti Drennan will bring her beautiful voice and composer’s originality to the stage in the Stroudsburg High School auditorium. She will perform solo from the piano and also direct the Project One Step Community Choir and the Pocono Community Orchestra during the program.

An additional feature of this year’s event will be the debut appearance of the Major Minors, a community youth choir under the direction of Nicole Rideout.

Following intermission, the winning ticket will be drawn for a new C.F. Martin guitar.

This concert is a benefit event in partnership with Pocono Alliance, to raise money and meet the basic needs of its community. It will support Bridges out of Poverty, a program that educates and motivates families to become self-sufficient, and “Fill a Glass with Hope,” a project created by the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association and Feeding Pennsylvania to provide low-cost fresh milk for food pantries throughout Monroe County to distribute to their clients. Last year, Project One Step distributed more than $12,000 to these beneficiaries.

The concert begins at 2:30 p.m. Tickets cost $15 each. Each concert ticket ordered in advance will come with a free raffle entry.
