PV Schools reopen after lockdown, no credible threat found
Pleasant Valley School District placed all of its buildings on lockdown at 9:30 a.m. As of 10:50 a.m. the lockdown has been lifted.
According to district superintendent David Piperato there was a call to the anonymous tip line as well as the district office this morning threatening violence at the high school.
“We immediately contacted the PA state police and placed all schools on secure,” Piperato said. “An exterior threat lockdown was put in place at the high school prohibiting anyone from leaving or enterening the building.”
Piperato added that the state police are still investigating but that an all clear has been issued for the district schools as they do not believe the threat to be credible.
Piperato added that last evening a middle school student was threatened by an online game player and that was reported to the district as well.
